Ok i have been getting mixed answers on the subject what all parts will need to be changed out to run e-85 safely. I am about to upgrade my whole fuel system trying to hit 1k rwhp and thought e-85 would help me get there safely. Some people say that I need to change out every thing ,some just say get bigger injectors.

My comments about just running bigger injectors and a pump were for MY power level. 1k whp, your ass is gonna need to replace everything anyways I imagine LOL.

30% more fuel for the same power level for e85 compared to dino juice.
enough fuel flow and injector for 1300 rwhp.
sumped tank, uber pumps and 160# ish injectors.

Someone told you that all you needed for a 1000 RWHP fuel system is new injectors?
I'll keep my smart mouth shut on that one.
This requires a heroic fuel system just to do gasoline. For ethanol add an additional 30-40% fuel delivery capacity. If you want it streetable, make it a dual pump system or have one hell of a pump controller. Get out the gold card, dad.

No, I think he may have been referring to me saying all "I" would need would be more pump and injectors. I'm in the under 500whp category. No where near the 4 digits LOL

haha yea. That and I believe this thread is aimed at the corrosion factor people associate with e85, more so than what model pumps and lines do I need for XXXX hp.

Der Krauthammer sez Uber der gerpumpen.
At that point, I'd say smurf the E85, and do a BS3 with 16 injectors, running pump gas through the first set, race gas through the second. A couple of big ass Weldons, a step down for the primary pump, and call it a day. Jim from Speed Inc (http://www.flickr.com/photos/speedinc/sets/721576 03181597231/)had a setup that was good for 200 MPH and picked up groceries like a stocker.

Corrosion is left over bad info from the 70's
Modern cars can handle ethanol just fine.

Yea thats where my "Just need pump and injectors" came from. But I was referring to my setup, not a turbo 408 lol

I know I already have to get a complete fuel system but for a e-85 setup all I would have to buy differently would be injectors and pump . I was wondering if I would have to buy different special fittings, lines, etc. I figured since I already have to change why not go e-85. I was looking at the lonnies double pumper kit but trying to price a custom kit. Tap the tank, put a pump in the spare tire well, and use my stock line as return.

That souds a little out of my price range . What would a system like that run me? >$2000

Yes, you will pay more than $2000 for a setup to do what you want to do. Here's what you need depending on how you plan on making the power:
1) Sumped tank with two outputs + return
2) 1 smaller external pump (like a Bosch 044) on all the time
3) Magnafuel 4303 kicked on in boost
4) Filters/lines
5) AEM injector converter (with optional racetronix harness) or BS3
6) 160# injectors (you can probably get by with 120# and a higher fuel pressure)
7) Boost referenced FPR
8) rails
We're over 800rwhp with E85 with only the magnafuel 4303 and 120# injectors, but we're close to the end. This system has been very reliable.
