Hi all,
I was looking at the APS Twin Fuel Pump which utilizes the stock fuel line as the return line. While this is way down the road for me, I was wondering if
1) It is generally a good idea to go ahead and steel braid the return line,
2) Is it a good idea (read: mandatory) to have two fuel pressure gauges watching each line?
I'm sure if one of the pumps fail, we would see a serious lean out in the Wideband, however the way that my understanding is it would be nice to see if fuel pressure is the reason for it.

Anyone on this?

One of my pumps did fail, car died right away.

The only justification for not using the stock fuel line as a return would be a system which would overwhelm the return line at low demand, such as a huge racing pump with no speed control. If you used braided line, it would just be for looks. Return lines run at atmospheric pressure, which can be accomplished with any cheap fuel hose.

Correct... the stock return line is about equivalent to a -6 line anyways. Basically most will recommend if you run a -8 feed you need a -6 return. If you run a -10 feed you need a -8 return.
My car has a very large powerful Magnafuel pump on it and we run a -10 feed and -8 return.

Cool. So braided lines for the prettyiness factor but nothing else.
What about the twin fuel pressure gauge? Fuel pressure is usually measured from the fuel rail, correct?
In my thinking, a twin fuel setup should help out any issues with that #7 cylinder too eh?

Braided line is for the high pressure side of the system.
Two gauges are useless. The static pressure will be the same everywhere in the system.
#7 cylinder problems have nothing to do with fuel delivery.
