Has anyone tried these tires?

not those specifically, but the off brand's version. They worked well, but I had a horrible experience with Falken in general. I went through 3 sets of the ZIEX-912, and none of them where good to me and didnt last more than 2 weeks each. The tires made my steering wheel shake SOOOO bad that my arms were killing me after a 10 minute drive.

I have them on my ride now. They are an OK tire for the price. They are a hard compound and take a while to warm up, and even then they don't grip well. They spin and squeal with ease. Wet traction is good though. They are noisy and they don't have an attractive tread pattern. I will not buy another set nor would I recommend them. I suppose that's what I get for going with an all season tire.

I had them and I didn't think they were hard at all.
They are a good tire for the rain. Mine didn't last very long, but most of that was because of suspension problems.

they make good smoke show..Mine only lasted maybe 12000 miles, get Kumho's if your going get cheap tires, Kumho's last a bit longer and they grip alot better!

I guess there is always a reason for a good price.
Thanks guys--I was almost ready to hit the buy button!

Just an FYI, the 452 is a Ultra High Performance Summer tire, not an All Season. They are a great value tire but they aren't for everyone or every application, no tire is for that matter. Check out the reviews here: Falken 452 (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/tires/fa lken/product/byName.do?tmn=FK+452&typ=Passenger%2FPerformance)

People have told me falkens are known for there side walls blowing out, and one of mine did. After I got a new one I didn't have any problems after though and I had them on for a good 15000 miles before I sold my truck.

Wow I had complete opposite with a set of 275/40/17(on my z28). Thought they were rather soft gave way better grip dry and wet than my BFG's. Also thought they were the quietest tire i've ever had not that the bfgs were loud but damn I could defenetly tell a differance in the road noise. I did no like they way they rode. The car felt like a boat felt like the car was floating which is great when cruising but around corners the car felt very unpredictable.

And not a very good one at that...There are much better choices.

I have the 452's on all 4 corners. I have had them for about 1,000 miles. I think they are quiet. However, they do squeal when spinning. Outside of that, I have no issues with them. If you get a decent deal on them, I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Had a set of Falkens. Once. Never again. Dealer had to mount something like 10 or 12 tires because they were out of round.
Called Falken to get them to ship four round tires up -- and was told to go jump in a lake.
Falken tires are good for one thing: Causing smoke by lighting them on fire during a riot. Do not buy those shit tires.

Have them on my car now, going strong with 12,000 miles, though they work best when above 50 degrees outside. They are a good rain tire to that of the Bridgestones that came on the car. I went with 245/40/18 all the way around. Great tire for the budget minded.

I'm going to check the store and see if they will give me the same deal as Discount direct--including mount and balance is about $100.00 less for 4 tires than the online store.
