My wife did a number on a front tire the other day (I'll post a pic when I get home) so I'm in the market for some new shoes (they were due anyways).

From what I've read so far, 265 35 18s are ok to run out back on the stock wheel without interference. Is that a true statement? I dont want to roll the rear fender. I do have bags out back if I need to use them. I'd stick with the 235 40s up front as they look to be an almost identical match size wise.

Now for some recommendations. I dont drag or race the car at all. I live in AZ right now and am moving to southern CA next month. I'd like to get some more grip out back (stock tires have 19k on them and the rears are toast), I figure the additional width will provide that. I'm looking to stay around $600-700.

I've talked with the Bridgestone sponsor and he can do the 760s around that budget but I was looking at a couple other tires as well.

Falken ZE 512s have 30k mile warranty that would be nice. They are just under $600 shipped.

Sumitomo HTR Z IIIs have good reviews and would run a hair over $600 shipped but no warranty. Not sure what the treadlife is like.

Bridgestone 760s have good reviews and would run about $688 but may not last as long as the others?

General Exclaim UHP didnt look to bad either, they were a hair over $600 but didnt have a warranty either.

Based on my needs (better traction out back with decent tread life), what is the best route? Are there some good choices that I missed?

Anyone have experience with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus? 45k mile warranty and a decent looking design. Better performance than the OEM tire?
