Well I'm finally ready to start shopping for wheels so I looked to the left of my screen for the VQ link and noticed it was gone. I looked around a little bit and I guess they pulled out. What really got my attention was when I realized discount tire has taken over as the official tire&wheel people of this site. Are you kidding? From what I read of the thread they started they don't really seem to know what they are doing when it comes to our cars. I actually stopped at a local discount tire store and after a 15 min struggle with the salesman I walked out. I didn't ask for wheels to fit a 04 gto I gave him the bolt pattern, dia, offset etc. that I wanted, or to try to use bmw spec wheels. He insisted on entering the make, model and year of my car into the computer and proceeded to show me a bunch those ultra high quality "liquid metal" wheels and some other crap. I understand that bills have to be paid but from what I understand the other wheel sponsor wasn't allowed to post like they used to. IMO we lost another good sponsor and proceeded to pick up one that, well, sucks. I'm sure this thread will get smacked down by management for bashing a sponsor but I had to share my .02

yeah there was already a thread on this. Discount tire went over everyone and got with management of most car forums (there's some large controlling group that owns/manages many car forums). Well they bargained with them to get exclusive rights and that got passed to everyone else. VQmotoring.com is still a website though and so is groupAwheels, they just can't advertise like before... Whaddya gonna do you know? Politics!

welcome to the world of business, amigo.
this is the way it goes and we as consumers are 100% responsible for it.
go watch the south park episode 'something wall-mart this way comes' and it'll show you the light.
beyond that, DT has proven that they do, in fact, sell plenty of wheels to fit our goats and as long as you have someone with a bit of car smarts (the guys on here that represent them certainly do) they will be able to help you fit something on your ride that will completely satisfy you.
good luck!

VQ has run into some problems lately (see the recent thread now in the Feedback section). As a result they have been removed from the site by Autoforums, the site owners. Therefore any comments about VQ are not really sponsor bashing at this point, but should still be kept to the Feedback thread and only posted by those who have had direct experiences with them.
In addition there is currently an exclusivity arrangement with Discount Tire for selling wheels here, this decision was also made by Autoforums. The moderators had nothing to do with this, but we do have to enforce the rules regarding links to other sites that sell products offered by our sponsors. Therefore I'm going to close this before someone posts links or contact info for other wheel vendors which we'd only have to remove anyway.
For info on wheels being offered by Discount Tire, please see this thread-
