What to do

So my boss has a TR 04 and he has stock 18s on it. He really likes my chrome stock 17s and wants to trade me wheels. He has all brand new tires on his as do I. The only thing is I would have to buy one maybe 2 new rims cause 1 is pretty messed up from a curb. What do you think I should do trade him my wheels buy one extra? He has found two 18s in great shape for $150 a piece. Do any of you know if I can pick them up for cheaper then that. Thanks for any and all help. Oh yeah before I forget hes also willing to let me do my spoiler delete and paint my hood at no cost. What should I do:confused:

Are those 2 extra with tires? they've been selling around 800 with tires for all for so that price seems normal.

I'd jump on that in a heart beat, Spoiler deletes can run $500 plus however much it is to paint hood.

Its all up to you though if you like the stock 18s better than your chrome 17s.

if you like the 18" stockers than go for it...but only if he's really going to do the spoiler delete filling and paint

I bought some 18s off of here a few months back and they had some curb rash on them. One was a quarter of the wheel the other was half of the wheel. I took them to a guy who sanded, painted, and clear coated them back to new for $50. He was a friend of my girlfriends father so it might cost you a little more then that.

You really shouldn't have to buy a new rim or two unless they are pretty bad. If they are not bent ( which can still be fixed) it shouldn't cost to much....a lot cheaper then buying 2 rims for a buck fifty a piece. If you go to a few car club meets and ask around i'm sure someone can point you in the right direction of who does that kind of repair work.

One last thing, get the 18's they look so much better. Ask your friend if you can swap for a couple of days to see if you really like them on your car.

One has to be replaced for sure. Two are in perfect shape and the other one just minor damage on it. I really think I will do it. As for the spoiler delete and the hood I will do all the work but they wont charge me for anything I use. I've also always wanted black wheels my car so I would end up painting them if I only bought one. If i bought two new wheels I'm sure I would probably polish them well maybe. I really want black wheels for some reason. If any one has an IBM with stock 18's in black I would love a picture of them. Thanks for all your advice guys.

Trade him. You can justify the trade simply based off being able to get the hood painted and do your spoiler delete. While your in the booth, might as well paint the new wheels you'll be sporting.
