I got a good deal (not now) on Fierce HP's 245-40-18. I was told they would fit...they don't. The front's are too wide. On the trip home I got a loud, rubbing WA WA WA WA WA noise.
I ordered 2 new 235 40 18's for the front from a local Goodyear dealer.
lesson learned.

looks like someone needs to get their suspension looked at along with alignment and camber ;)
I run Toyo t1-r's at 245/35-19 and get no rub with my Pedders street II kit installed. It's the OEM tire size for HSV's.
I bet your bushings are all toast to begin with.

+1 on the alaignment issues. I am also running a 245/35/19 in front and have absolutely no issues up front. Now the rears, 275/30/19, are giving me a little hell as I havent upgraded the suspension yet. Im STILL waiting on the xa's I bought back in April!!!!!!!

What everyone is saying is there is more of an issue here then tire size that needs to be squared away first.

He's trying to run 40s, not 35s like you guys.

You beat me to it. I have 235/40ZR-18 Sumitomo HTR Z II's on the front (245 on the rears). As close as it is to the strut I'm glad I didn't go with 245's.

245 40 18 here and not a single issue. Ran it on the stock 18's and the stock size 17's have 245's as well..
Come to think of it nothing LESS than a 245 has been on this car.

...umm those "guys" have 19" wheels, he has 18". 245/40/18 is similar to 245/35/19 (the difference is .90mm in total diameter).
