I just wanted to post this to help others looking to do the same I did. There has been many posts but mixed answers.
This only applies to Z06 replica wheels.
My set up is as follows
REAR- 17 X 9.5 with 275/45/17
FRONT- 17 X 8 with 245/45/17
9.5 will not fit on front it rubs the struts when bolted down
you must use 12mm spacers on the fronts to push the wheel out more.Now fo course you can use 17X8's on the back. I had a set of 17 X 9.5's left over from my old camaro & wanted to try them. But ended up getting a front set from house of wheels.With 275's & 9.5's I am getting a bit of rubbing on the back but I am going to roll out the quarters & maybe put some spacers on the springs as other members have noted. I did alot of research on this & I think it camn out really nice. I would like to thank everyone that responded to my questions!!
If anyone uses this & has questions in the future feel free to shoot me a P.M.

You might also want to specify that it is either C5 or C6 style also.;

How many turns did you get on the lugnuts with a 1/2" spacer behind the wheel?

I would guess 0.

I'm running REAL Z06 wheels all around. 17x9.5" ET54 with 255/40 tire. 20mm spacer in front and none in the back. Even with extra clearance provided by coilovers and camber mounts, the tire still rubs on the fender lip in the front, but nothing major. Rear fits perfect with plenty of room to spare. I will be switching to 275/40 all around next time.

good point guys I left out a few things
I installed longer arp studs on the front
they are c5 replicas
not sure of the exact offset but it is the common figure that all of them are made to.
