Well I finally f'd up this weekend. I came off a roundabout a "bit" too fast and when I gunned it she spun and I lost control pretty bad, hitting a curb and breaking my WT splitter in half and basically cracked my rim. Thank god no body damage b/c I almost flipped the damn thing and killed myself. The only big problem is that the front passenger wheel looks bent in a bit. It's driveable and it's in the shop getting fixed at the moment.....But anyway, I think I'm going to go ahead and get some new Black or gunmetal wheels just because I was thinking of doing this anyway. Dunno if should just paint the stockers (I love em so much) or just get something new...opinions? I would buy them off Ebay if I did b/c I dont have the cash and I will be using credit. No more than $700.

Dam man that makes two of us, I hit a curb this weekend too. Cracked the front right rim, left wheel is leaning in towards the top, steering is all messed up. not a good weekend. I was only going 30 mph thats what is messed up.
Good luck to ya, let us know what the outcome is.

BAH!!!! I just got a call from my buddy who's dad owns the shop. They think the frame may be bent, WTF!!! There is no way that my car is totaled. The rack and Pinion is bent, but that's an easy fix. He said something about the sub frame connectors. He's having someone else look at it at the moment. I'm so pissed!!!

duud... duud
I had a 94z28 totalled out bc of frame damage. Just clipped a guard rail and it drove the same, just a little body damage. My personal opinion, if you love the car and it drives straight, the frame ain't bent enough. Only issue is a salvage title, but if you're keeping the car for a long time F it don't worry about it!

Ya, I'm gonna get insurance in on it. It's going to be around 2K$ to fix. 500$ deductible but my shop guy is confident he will have it perfect. And at least my rental car is only 3$ a day, lol. God, this pisses me off. I don't ever plan on selling it. God couldn't rip this car out of my hands if he tried.

He already tried. A lesson for you maybe?

wow! guess you'll learn to handle the car a little better on the next go round.
Glad it was only the car hurt, and not you.

Just wasn't used to these new back tires I put on maybe. I do that roundabout curve everyday, 6 times a day, and I know it very well and I respect it, but something went wrong this time. When I gassed it coming out of the curve(like I always do) she just went wild and I actually held it pretty well considering. It could have been a hell of alot worse. And yes BAADGTO, I learned my little lesson. Thanks.

Back to your original question, lol, I like the stockers too so I'd say replace the wheel(s) you bent and paint or powder coat them. Should be a relatively cheap fix.

Haha, thanks. I think I'm going to keep the stockers and buy a new one to have the complete set. But, I think I'm dead set at getting some new wheels. The ones I'm looking at:
When I first saw these, I didn't like them, but I'd really love to see what they look like on an IBM:

I like these, but I don't want the polished part. I want an all black wheel.

But someone just recently posted up some with the blue ring around them. If anyone has picks of their IBM with black wheels and a blue ring please let me see what it looks like. Thanks!
