First post to ANY forum ever, so please bear with me. Been lurking here for a few weeks, trying to make an informed decision. Picked up my MBM M6 last week. First decision made.

Now comes the more complicated decision, which wheel/tire combo to go with. I've seen alot of differing opinions in here on size/back space options. What I need is a no BS answer on what tire/wheel combo will fit on the stock car without rubbing anywhere. The car is my daily driver, and it won't be seeing any serious track time anytime soon.

I love the look of the AZA Z1's, and would appreciate hearing from anybody who has them mounted as far as any mounting/size issues.

Are you looking for a staggered stance? because if so I don't htink you will be happy with the amount of fender rolling it takes for the AZA Z1s from what I have read.

The staggered stance definitely looks great, but I really don't want to mod the car (at least not yet, I've only had it a week!). If it's going to take rolling, I'll have to live without it for now.

I've seen many different wheel combos in here that look good, but I'm not real clear on how they got all of those combos to fit. Like I said before, I'm new to this whole late generation thing, and I definitely want to know all I can before I go buying a new set of wheels.

Non staggered only:
8" wide wheel...offset 40mm to 48mm should fit
8.5" " " ...offset 45mm (sometimes) to 48mm
9" " " ...offset 50mm to 52mm

Anything more will need rolling in the rear. Or search for that spiffy offset bible....

Thanks for the info guys. The Drift R's are at the top of the list as well, I like the thinner spokes. Rollnhrd, you said they were made specifically for GTO spacing, the 275's don't rub? I plan on staying with 18's, but 275's out back without rolling the fenders would be sweet.

I know there aren't a whole lot of wheels out there right now for the GTO, and being a newbie, I need as much help as I can get to prevent any expensive mistakes.

The reason why the drift rs fit so well are because the fronts are 45mm and the rears are 55mm offset... Trust me I had to do just what your doing a lot of research theirs so many things to know when your buying wheels.. If you have any questions call Jim at gravana thats who helped me all the way through, the sponsor on the side of the page...

According to my Drift Rs, they are actually +41mm front, +50mm rear. Supposedly, ROH is redesigning the Rs for +52mm rear. I don't know when they will put those into circulation. So far, these wheels with only the Toyo Proxes T1-S tire in P275/35R18 will fit with 99% no rubbing. The T1-S is currently being discontinued & replaced with the Proxes T1-R. They should have the same dimensions as the T1-S, so no problems are expected.
