hey all, I know alot of topics are on here about wheel size, but I have specific question. If I wanted to go staggered what offset on a 9.5 in the rear would make the wheel almost flush with the fender? I realize I would have to roll the fender. I was hoping to have the setup like my old car below

guess that all depends on the offset of the wheel you want to put on. 9.5's will either be close to hitting or stick out of the wheelwell so far its undriveable. Do a search to learn more. everything you need and more has already been discussed at length. welcome to the board.

I think the general concensus is a minimum of +45 for a x9 or x9.5 in the rear. But don't quote me.

Offset is only part of the equation. Some brands of tires run larger than others, even though they are the same size numerically. On the 9.5, I've seen guys go as low in offset as 40, but they rubbed a lot and went from a 275 to a 265 to eliminate the rubbing (with modded lips). I'm still shopping for wheels/tires myself. I think I'm gonna go 19s with 8.5s in front (40 mm offset) and 9.5s in back (45 mm offset). I'll have my fender lips cut off or grind them off myself. For tires, I'm going with Falken 451s (245/275), as they seem about average in actual width.

I think you should also keep in mind the shape of the fenders, they stick out at the top and curve into the body both front and rear. A wheel tire that sticks out right to the fender will "look" like it's sticking out too far because of this shape.
The offset as stated above is only one part. What I would do is pick a 45mm offset, roll the fenders heavily (and I mean, it's going to be TOUGH since they are double wall fender lips), get the tires you want, then use spacers to get the remaining room. That way if you don't like it, just remove the spacers, plus the tires you get will also enter the equation whether you need such-and-such spacer, etc...
