I am weightless but you can see me.
Put me in a bucket and I will make it lighter.

What am I?

The answer is a hole. To put a hole in a bucket you have to remove material from the bucket. A hole has no weight. If the bucket had water in it it would drain makeing it even lighter.

For those answering "Light" the question would have had to say 'brighter'.

I figured after yesterday's I throw a softball. @ half the folks got the answer wrong yesterday. Today it seems to be 1 in 5 so far.

Light would not make the bucket lighter. If the lighting in a room is more intense than the room next to it, you would say "This room is brighter than that room." not "This room is lighter than that room"

If you took the light away, it would make it darker; so if you bring the light back, it makes it lighter.
