I hadn't seen anybody with these so I figured I'd get them. They are AZA Z-8 18x8.5 40mm offset (Toyo Proxes 245-40-18) all the way around. They still rubbed the right rear but a rubber mallett and some anger fixed that very quickly.
Go Bucks!

Thanks Bucks... Ohio State... and Chesapeake, VA? Sounds like military. I'm born and raised a Buckeyes fan from Cincinnati, then went to Purdue. Go figure.

They look nice. Were you in Chesapeake about 1-2 ago, down at the Walmart on Battlefield. I swear I was behind you taking a left going south. I would love to those in person.

Wow those look really good! I have to say those are probably about the best looking non-Holden/HSV wheels I've seen on a GTO and in my own opinion there aren't many aftermarket wheels that look the part on the car.

I appreciate the compliments, I am THAT GUY that spent about 5 months trying to decide what wheel/tire to go with and I am happy with the overall result. The only gripe I have is that even with a VERY close to stock overall size I had rubbing (update: I had a little rub on the left too) after some further testing. The rubbing issue was the reason that I went with a 8.5 instead of a 9.5... oh well. :-) Next up... longtubes.

Guess I'm in the minority here - just not feeling it. But, that's why there are soooo many wheel choices...something for everyone.

You can get them for a great price at www.wheelmax.com.

I like em'. The spokes are a little wide but I still think they look good. I've been waiting for someone to give those a try.
Another former Buckeye here. Still a big fan of them, just not dealing with the snow anymore. ;)

Got em from Wheelmax.com 3 days from when I ordered till they were at my door... as far as the spokes being wide, they look wider in the pics than in person?? Kinda wierd, but true. Honestly, I don't really like the way they look in the pics, but I love them in person.

Does wheelmax do a nice job with the balance when you buy tires with the wheels? I have considered these wheels but I was waiting for someone to take the plunge first. I love the look. Any ride problems other than the rub that you fixed?
Thanks

I tried them out for the first time at speed today... simply put, excellent. No vibration or balancing issues (I too was a little hesitant). I went to about 130 with no problem.
On a side note, I have the left rear fender bent up pretty far and I'm still getting a bit of a rub only on large bumps (none on cornering). I can't seem to find where it is rubbing for sure. I don't see any new marks on the fender or tire. Is there somewhere besides the fender lip that it could be rubbing?

Excellent. They compliment the bodylines of the car very well and give the GTO a nice muscle car look.

don't feel bad, me eather. Reminds me of the base rim of a spinner rim kind of plain looking but as you seed that is our opinions.
