Hey guys, I probably when overboard with my system but its sounds amazing. My problem is that my wing shakes so much i feel it is going to damage my car. I have to constantly tighten it. I dont like the look of wingless but i might be going that way. Any tips would be great. I have dynamat everywhere around the trunk.
Also the rear bumper shakes quite a bit on the sides, makes a rather annyoing sound. So if you had this problem let me know what you did, at this point im open to try anything. There are certain songs i just don't feel comfortable playing as i can see the wing come dangerously close to hitting the paint. I have been told to fill the wing with "Great Stuff" but didn't know if this was good idea or not.

I have some of the same issues with something under the car in the trunk area, it might be the bumper, but I haven't put much research into it yet. But if you are saying the screws are coming loose on the wing then just put some loctite on them. If the wing itself is causing rattling then there are several threads on this board on how to fix it. My rattling had to do with the wiring to the 3rd brake light which I fixed by wrapping it with window sealing foam from the hardware store.
Another thought... in my Grand Prix I had a similar issue where the wing itself was ratteling and I used kitchen sink rubber washers, one for each screw, inbetween the car and the wing which raised the wing up enough to stop the rattling and wasn't noticible when looking at it.
As for Great stuff, it might work but you have to be extremley carefull not to put to much in or it will destroy your wing.

The noise your talking about coming from both sides of the bumper are the vent flaps for the pressure when you close your trunk, I ignore them but i guess you could always just take them out. I think there like 2 bolts or nuts on each. As for the Great Stuff i filled my wing to eliminate the wires/connectors rattling around in there for the brake light, it worked great for me. Like posted above try the loctite if its the nuts that are coming loose.
Thanks for the tips. Ill look for those vents around the bumper. The only problem with the wing is I cant think of anything i can do to get it to stop flexing. Even with the wing as tight as I fell comfortable getting it flexes so much that it is very close to hitting the paint. I know its going to rattle nothing i can do about that, ill take a video tomorrow and post so you can see how extreme this is. I dont know if there is a solution beyond removing it all together.

Man... that must be alot of base... Is it just the wing flexing? or the actual trunk lid? Seems more likely to me that it would be the trunk lid. Anyway... you can get to the vents inside the turnk under the carpet on the right and left hand sides towards the bumper.

Unless you're using your back seat, why not just do a rear seat delete, have a custom box built in place, and move the speakers into the cabin with you? It would free up your trunk, fix your rattles in the back, and you wouldn't have to turn it up so loud. Though if you did, I recommend ear plugs. Anything over 83 dcb is destroying your hearing. I too listen to my music quiet loud, but I also don't want to be deaf when I reach 30.
Quick Edit: If you're experiencing this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinnitus You've already damaged your hearing.

Take that ugly azz spoiler off, and put some decals over the holes. 2 Problems solved with one move. Give it a week and you'll fall in love with the spoilerless option.
