Did anyone catch Formula D on G4 TV for the Houston show? Formula D "Drifting Series" on G4 "Gamers TV" on cable for the Houston, Texas event. Rhys went up against this guy in a new supercharged Mustang and the best of two runs advanced to the final round. The runs were so close that the judges asked the crowd if they should run again. Of course the answer was "Yes", so they went head to head twice more. Very close runs again, and if it weren't for the fact that Rhys straightened out just a hair in turn one he would have one. What a semifinal though. Wish someone had it on tape. What a show. Rhys rules.

I try to catch it every now and then to see the goat. It's pretty cool. I hate that dude who hosts all of g4's car shows though, he's so f*cking annoying and ghetto.

I havent seen it on TV yet, so from where i was standing it looked like Rhys had it... but i am also biased. Man his car kicked so much ass... they were running videos at his trailer that were awesome... free poster too, which is in my garage now :)

watching mustang v GTO was so much better than watching 240sx versus G35's, etc.

That "sport" needs to really lay down some specific rules... its getting too big for crowd cheering type voting and crazy HP mismatching... like 120HP v 600HP... it was a joke sometimes.

I dont know if this made it in the show but, what was funny as hell, was some teen/pre-teen kid won a XBOX contest and got a free ride with the guy that drives the VIPER... lol the donuts were sick.. you litterly couldnt see the car and chunks of rubber were starting to fly all over the place... I dont see how that kid was breathing..

Yeah, that segment DID make it into the show. The look of the kids face in the Viper was hilarious. He looked terrified and bored. Smoke from the donuts was filling the car and the kid was waiving his hand around trying to clear the air. I don't think the kid could see over the dash he was sitting so low in the Viper. Any extra posters from the Rhys camp?
