....On the front of an '04? I currently have 15x4 and 15x8 generic pro stars. I was wondering if I would be able to go wider on the front so I could run these on the street. I saw one person who had to do a lot of modifying to get 15x6 on the front of an '06. Since my '04 has a smaller brake setup is it possible? with or without modifying? Thanks for any info!

--- I tried search function, but to no avail.

If you already have a 15" wheel on there now then the width wouldn't effect the brake clearance, just the diameter of the wheel. The only thing that would come in to play now would be the offset of the wheel.

OK... I guess maybe I'll just have to be the guinea pig on this one.

I'm currently running "Jegstars" 15x4 4-3/4 bolt pattern on the front, and 15x8 with 5.5 backspacing on rear. I used kuhmo 165's up front and BFG radial T/A 255's out back. I also upgraded to ARP studs all the way around. I am also running drag bags in the rear.

Sweet! Thanks man I will be ordering the summit starts soon. :turbonaug Do you have a side shot to sho how much they stick out? Any issues with rubbing?

I don't have any good pictures yet, but as soon as I get some I will post them. The rears stick out slightly but IMO it looks good. I have bags at 30psi and I get an occasional rub when driving over big bumps at decent speeds. I do not have the fenders rolled yet, but that is something I would like to do so I can eliminate all rubbing.

The bags I'm using are the ones for the mazda MPV... I can't remember part numbers off hand but do a search for mazda drag bags. I purchased them from autoanything.com if i remember right. And the rear tire is a 255 60 15 BFG radial t/a with the lettering turned to the inside. I will get outside tomorrow and get some pics for you.

Very nice! I should be getting my wheels tomorrow, I have decided on 275-50-15's for the rear.

Yeah you can't go wrong with that size at all... I think that would be a perfect fit, I was really undecided between those two sizes. Right now I'm going to order a 15x7 rim and see how it fits up front... I want a little more stability for around the town driving.

Did you order 15x4's for the front?

I'm going to stay stock up front until I make up my mind on what size and get some more funds lol.
