I know on my LSC every wheel has a sensor and the abs computer could care less about different tire sizes it just monitors if a wheel stops moving (locking up) ,I plan to run smaller tires in back at the drags and already know i will have traction control turned off so that should be taken care of but wondering about the abs.

anything more than 1/2" will definitly make your trac control and abs mad at ya. But if its track only stuff you shouldnt be worrying about it.

Thanks!
My worry was the computer pulling power or throwing a code.

I have been told that the system on the GTO is less sensitive. It reads off the half shaft in the rear and not off the wheel. I am not an expert on abs and put this out to get it verified or refuted.
What is the diffences between the Bosch system on a GTO and a new C6 or CTS V?

I had 26" front's and some 28" et streets on mine... all it did was send a code... and was slow as hell

28" is really tall compared to the 25.5 stock tires.. You basically turned your 3.45 gears into 3.10 gears .,, I am going the other way, running 23" slicks which will make the effective ratio around 3.85

The sensors have to be somewhat forgiving as the tires wear they get smaller. Also every manufacturer and even OEM can't make the tires the exact same size every time. They have variances. My rear tires are 25.7 and fronts are 25.00. I have no codes and my car seems to drive fine. I believe you can be 5% or so different and be ok.

well I will have 23" rears and 25.5" fronts so there will be a definate difference. This is only for the track so my only concern is that the computer doesnt pull power,I can pull the abs and traction fuses if I have to.

I'm running 245/40-18 front (25.7") and 255/45-18 rear (27") with no codes and no problems.
