I am very interested in hearing how our friends below are keeping their LS2's cool in high temperatures.

Now I know that it is winter their now (or at least I think it is) but are you having the same issues as we are in the States with the damn PCM in the LS2 cutting timming due to extremely hot intake air temperatures?

How are your cars running? Anything different? I'm curious if you guys have something better and ol' GM of North America pulled a fast on on us.

Best,

Dustin

Hi Dustin

For your info; the VXR is the Vauxhall version of our HSV GTO & is sold in the UK.

One thing that might help the LS2 over here is that 98 octane fuel is readily available.

However, I know that there are many HSV LS2 drivers hungry for the new Tuning package when it becomes available.

Cheers

Didn't really notice any difference in performance due to heat, but then again it wasnt a really hot summer here in Melbourne (low 30's mostly, from memory). Was running without the bonnet plugs but that makes very little difference to intake temp.

.... and waiting on more results from tuning before taking the plunge

Very interesting. Keep us posted as to what happens. We too are waiting for the handheld tuning devices. Ls2 edit has been released here in the states, but most of the testing is still in the beginning stages.

I was just curious if GM pulled a fastone and the factory tune we recieved was drastically different from what you get. Because our cars are terrible in the heat. Torque management is kicking our butts and we too are waiting on tuning.

best,

Dustin
