I want an 06, but I am also one cheap buzzard. I want a red/red m6 with 18" wheels. I am unwilling to settle for a blue m6, or a red/red auto. I want a red /red m6 with 18" wheels!Should I order, or wait until they I start seeing them grazing at the delaers?
My local dealers suck when it comes to new cars. They refused to budge on a new '96 Impala SS and so I flew down to 'vegas to get my Impala (used autobytel), and drove it back up, saving thousands. I think the price was about $500 above invoice.
How much should I expect to pay above invoice? Should I use a service like autobytel or costco? Or, should I just show up at my local dealer, bend over and and take it like a man(haha!). Any advice will be appreciated. Thanx!

There are still several 05 Red/Red/M6 GTOs out there. Many of them were "show cars" with no miles that look to be discounted and have gone for about ~$30,000. I'd get one of those - save a couple thousand, and FAIAP the same as an 06...

I haven't seen any cars like that with 18". Plus, I need the faster seat access for my kids. I'd also like the lighted steering wheel controls. If I were to buy a '05, the $ spent on an extra set of wheels and seat motor uprgrade would erase any savings on an 05. Or, in other words, in the end, an 05 will cost me more than an 06 and be an extra year older! So, I keep the 06 on my wish list.

Just order it. Try to get it for invoice, but don't pay more then $500 over invoice. Make sure your dealer has allocation before ordering. I ordered a blue/blue, m6, with 18's and I'll be paying $500 over invoice. The bad part of this is my dealer told me they had allocation when they didn't. I ordered July 5th and the dealer is now telling me that I have to wait until Oct to get an order # and TPW, so allocation is important. Best of Luck.
