OK... Just got my hands on $500.00 to spend on this beast. I have an '05 M6, with a New Era MAF installed. Other than that, it's BONE STOCK!! I'm looking for things to do to make it AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!! If possible, I would like to have whatever I do installed by the 3rd of Sept. (The Next Drag Day.) Please let me know what would make it the fastest. I'm trying to hold my own against a BUNCH OF MUSTANGS!!! (I figured that would give some incentive to help me.)

Thanks In Advance,
Shakey

Don't shift past 2nd gear and maybe the Mustangs will keep up with you.

Hada68GTO said it right, get a Dyno Tune, I'm pretty sure there is one for the 05, and if you can't find anyone in your area to do it, then you have a good head start for some Headers......Don't waste your money on a CIA yet, keep saving for the Headers, JMO, if the Tune is not available.

Since your avatar indicates you are in Germany I would guess a dyno tune is out. If you are going drag racing best thing you can do for 500 is get a pair of drag radials so you can get traction. Not really any performance mods yet for the LS2 in the 500 dollar price range. Drag tires will help the most for 500.

I say get some drag radials or the dyno tune if it is possible.

Save the $500 and turn it into $1500.

Get headers.

I'd say save for LT's first, but when you get the LT's have enough laying around for a good tune also.

Get the drag radials. they will do the most for you at the drag day for sure.

save up for the headers and THEN a dyno tune.

Nitto 555R's 275/45/17 hands down!!
I hope you mean 275/40/17 Nitto 555r's

I loved mine until I had to take them off yesterday, very worthwhile. Another mod to make the car more enjoyable to drive would be teh GMM Ripshift!

A tune is out of the question unless I get a Preditor. That is what I was thinking. I was looking at getting rims and tires this winter since I'm going to be parking it.
That Nitrous Idea doesn't sound too bad. Whaddaya'll think??

once again, save up for a blower. the vendors on the left have killer deals on superchargers... hell, try and find a used kit even.

If you're out for tires. The spray would be my next option, since you're thinking about it already. But I would get a tune for sure to be safe...even with a small shot.

I see that you live across the pond...why not use a mail order tune for the spray or just for some more power? There are several companies that do this and have very good results.

cold air intake or dyno tune

Why is everyone recommending a blower when he has $500 to spend, not $5000.
If faster in the 1/4 is what you want, definitely the better tires.

i was looking into this exact tire and size...but nitto says that size and spec is only for 9 inch wide rims and bigger....how do they work on ur stock rims?

edit: oh ya...and how much was it for each tire?

They fit fine, there's some bulging or crown to the tire, but other than that there's no problem.

I'd go with a new shifter personally.
