ok, i've been seaching around a lot, and have done a lot of reading on these wheels, but I need the help of someone who knows a lot about wheels, and more specifically ROH wheels.

Well I found a set on ebay for an incredible price, there were only 8 hours left in the auction when I discovered them, but there wasn't much of a description on the site. I emailed and asked as many questions as I could to verify that they would fit...however the problem is, this guy is the second owner of the wheels and doesn't the specs. What I did know at the time was that they came off a BMW 5x120 bolt pattern, 19x8 and 19x9 I believe (he said 8.5 and 9.5 but I didn't think these wheels came in those widths). He couldn't tell me the offset or what type of BMW it came off of... BUT i took a risk and won the auction... :shiner:

But I just talked to the guy (nice guy btw), and he took some measurements for me to help me try and figure out if they would fit. Well he put a straight edge inside the rim against the rear mounting surface. He said that point was roughly 1" towards the outside (away from the car) from the center. He said it was the same for both the 8" and 9" wheel. From my calculations (which maybe incorrect)

9" wheel: 4.5" + 1" = 5.5"
ROHs I need (+50mm) : 4.5" + 1.968" ~ 6.5"
8" wheel: 4" + 1" = 5"
ROHs I need (+41mm) : 4: + 1.61" = 5.61"

So according to this, they won't fit. However, he also measured the finished lips and the unfinished side to the center (or spokes). The finished lips on the 9" wheel are about 3" and the on the 8" they are about 2". From the inside edge to the back of the spokes (i'm guessing, that is where he measured it to) it was 6" on both wheels. I don't know if that helps any, but it makes the above calculations seem slightly off. Also, if it helps any, he only got them 3 weeks ago, off a 3 series BMW. Basically...do these wheels add up to the correct Drift-R wheels that I need....i sure hope they do, otherwise back onto ebay they go :(

Thanks for your help...

you have a chance since they were from a 3-series BMW, which is what is the closest match to the GTO.

I know the GTO/Monaro Drift-R's are 2" lip and 3" lip. with around 40mm front and 51mm rear offset. I might be a mm or 2 off either way though.

All I know for sure I am still waiting for mine  ordered end of june....

So if they fit you scored a really good deal.

that's the exact info that I have on these wheels for our cars. So i'm hoping they fit.

41mm and 51mm seem like the preferred offsets for those rims. At least that's what I have written down as working.

If they are from an M3, they won't fit. If they are from a regular 3 series, they should most likely be good. BTW, most wheels have the offset and bolt pattern stamped on the inside portion of the rim, either on the spokes or near the mounting surface. Tell the seller to look 'em over for you. :)

I actually asked if they were from an M3 because I knew that if they were, it wouldn't fit. But he said they were off a regular BMW...this was only 3 weeks ago when he got them so i hope he remembered correctly. He was actually looking at the numbers imprinted on the inside of the wheel...all he could decipher for me was the diameter and rim model. If I get the exactly serial number or code (whatever is imprinted in the wheel) could someone with a set of ROHs for our car chime in and verify that the codes are the same? Or maybe someone will know how to read it. I'll call the guy and post an update. Thanks for all replies so far.
