i searched already, but couldnt find anything.

i wore my nittos out already. iam gonna need some new tires. what brand of toyo is the really good tire? i remember reading about some people praising a toyo tire, but i cant remember what type of toyo it was. *edit....i just searched again, i found proxies something or other??? are these the ones?

basically iam just looking for a good tire that will launch decent, ride smooth, and deal with a heavy winter decently.

thanks guys!

thats what i want to know. i honesty, without exageration, have only done 5-6 very short burnouts, and one trip to the track.

i think it may be one of 3 things.

somebody is regularly stealing my car at night and doing burnouts

i am sleepdriving or have severe memory loss

i somehow recieved a weaker set (if thats possible)

oh well

If you are getting Toyos, I prefer the Proxes 4's they are gereat in the rain.....and at the strip.... and on the track.... My first set lasted 17k miles with 3 trips to the track (w/ about 20 runs).

Hey! My nittos are bald already too!!! Maybe there is something wrong with them. Maybe its those awesome smokey burnouts I`ve been doing,or the 160 feet of rubber I have been laying in second gear. Hope to get to the track at least once more before I put the stock tires back on for winter.

It's not bad tires, same thing happened to me with my stock tires, woke up one morning went outside and the cords were hanging out, the rubber fell off over night. I don't get it.

They didn't tell you. A bunch of guys borrowed your car for the GTO ABUSE Video. ;)

Are those Nittos DR's or 555 street? Forget about snow and decent launches on the same tire. DR's are technically street legal, but not really a great thing for daily driving. Padre had a hair raising experience with Mickey Thompsons and wet pavement.

Nittos and M/Ts are TOTALLY different animals....i drove around with NT555R drag radials for 2 years on my Z28. i got around 15,000 miles out of each set with a total of about 50 track passes and an occasional automotive escapade on the street. They were perfectly fine in the rain. snow was another story however...
