Pulled my wheels today and it looks like there is plenty of meat for a "normal" 5x4.75" bolt pattern... The wheels out there are mostly too "import" looking for my taste, so I am thinking of drilling the new bolt circle for some wheel styles that I am used to. Anyone done this?

I agree that most wheels for this car are too ricey or Euro-looking for my taste. It saddened me to find out American won't make even a custom money-is-no-object Torq-Thrust for us. A set of Ds would be so pissed on this car.

As for your question, I have no idea if you're talking about drilling wheels or creating an actual different bolt pattern on the car to put different wheels on.

I was talking about making the car have a 5x4.75" pattern... Mainly because I want a set of American Torq- Thrust II's. Backspacing is the main problem, I think. Stock wheels have 6.45"... Pretty uncommon among "normal" wheels.

Send an email to American Racing asking about a Torq-Thrust for the new GTOs. Who knows, maybe if enough folks bug them about it they'll consider it.

I have used "take off" Camaro wheels (5 spoke) with 16 x 8" and 5 x 4.75 with several different drag radials (MT ET Street Drag, newer MT ET Street Radial Drag, BF Goodrich Drag Radials). I have hit 11.17 and launch hard (A4 with 3600 converter and 100 shot off line. No problems so far. Easy fit, close offset redneck look!!
