i'm about to pull the trigger on these:

as ssr is bankrupt and tirerack is the only supplier i know of that has ssr's on hand, should i buy an extra wheel, in the case that i curb/bend one of these?

Hub-centric? Offset? Size? Are they discounted because they are out of business? So many questions, so little time.

How much are they? What vehicle do you type in to find them?

Last time I checked, those were about $279-289 for 17"x8.5". $329 or so for 18"x8.5". Offset: +44mm. Fit for BMW 3 Series. So, you can use CSiJason's hubcentric rings. I wasn't even aware that SSR was out of business. I just thought that Tire Rack had some kind of exclusive contract to sell them. I've wanted a set for ssoooooo long.

SSRs are very soft and GTOs are heavy - be careful because you may need that 5th wheel sooner than you'd think.

I know people bending SSRs on 2700 pound M3s

the ssr competitions (type c's) are a bit soft, but these GT2-Hs are supposedly stronger (read: heavier) by using some 'hybrid' multi-piece construction (i dunno, its the tirerack propaganda--cf. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/DisplayWheel.jsp?wh eelMake=SSR&wheelModel=GT2&wheelFinish=Silver+Painted)... i looked up the e46 330ci on tirerack.com and found these for $319 each! nearly as cheap at the cast Axis Hiro's, which would have been my next choice....
