Is that intake possible on ours? TRPGTO, is that the kind of intake you were talking
about? I like it.

Thats understandable. They probly did alot of R&D ($$) to develop that. But I want it too!

I doubt any harm was done. Heck, you may have just gave them a little *free* advertsing, if its gonna be a production (aftermarket) unit.

HMMMM? It is a different cold air intake than the one shown
in the July/August Pontiac Enthusiast mag. of the same car. There
is whole article in there about the car, but the intake is totally
different, so maybe it will eventually be out for our cars. Hope he
can put that pic back up here. Darn, I should have saved it.

I watched the thing live on channel 2 (CBS?) on DirecTV today. Didn't see the GTO once. I was kind of disappointed. I'm going to have to watch the next one from Infineon Raceway on 18 July. Just watch for the listings.

Thanks for posting the picture. Could you ask whomever you spoke with about the intake? (If they would sell one or how to get in contact with the manufacturer, such as a phone number or email would be greatly appreciated) Could you pm me with any information to either purchase the intake or to speak with someone about the intake? Thanks.

Man, if we could get some different grill inserts so air can rush in to this
cold air kit. I think this kick some butt.

Question boys and girls. Check this out:

http://www.johnthawley.com/albums/albun54/aax.size d.jpg

That is from the Trenton Forging GTO website. Notice no grille? Now, look here:

http://www.johnthawley.com/albums/albun54/aba.size d.jpg

So it seems at this point that the grille is a set of stickers?

Does the current version of the car have real grilles?

PS I want a widebody kit too!!

Good point. If the grille is actually a sticker then it appears the intake is fed air through the opening below where the grille would be located. Wow, I am tired and that sounded like a run on sentence when I proof read it.

Ok I just figured it out - between Sebring and Lime Rock they changed the intake. Here's the intake at Sebring:

Looks like the MASC (I think that's the one) made intake.

And at Lime Rock

Open grill inserts will certainly help. Heck, the radiator acts as the
heatshield.

Man,You guys work faster than I can type!We changed the nose after sebring to take the stock grilles. The filter is a donaldson blackwing. No actual airbox in the grille opening yet.Still checking on the cold air kit,We are also working on a cold air kit with green air filters. They make a drop in filter that is a full race filter for the stock air box.Dave

I figured that was a blackwing, popular with the Vette guys. Will that airbridge fit over our stock radiator?

If i'm not mistaken, that car has a racing radiator with a lower aspect than stock, and no A/C condenser. I believe someone tried a blackwing early on and said no go. Having said that, I wanted a blackwing from the git go. I'm hoping SLP develops a lid, pipe and Donaldson replacement for the stock panel filter. You can always mod the box for more/colder air.
