You mean like these? The last pic comes from a vendor selling those wheels: JHP.

those would be the bad boys. i was just wondering if anyone stateside is running them. i wanted to see what they looked like in GTO trim, and also get an idea of the cost and hassle to get them over here.

Either PM Coupe 4 here on the forum or e-mail Sales@JHP.com. If you can generate enough interest, JHP might do a group purchase. They do GPs all the time. They just ended one on the VY Monaro wheels (18" SAP wheels).

those will be my babies some day. In my opinion, those are *the* oem wheels for our cars.

Click the link to the left for JHP. You might change your mind on which ones should be the OE wheels for the GTO.

I've been there many a time, I still think they are the nicest looking oem wheel. Just seems more upscale to me:

GAWD!!!! that car is sexy!
sorry guys, but when i get mine, it's gotta go Monaro. nothing against Pontiac, but i think the cosmetics they did to it totally bastardized the thing!
anywho, anyone here have personal experience with this wheel?

Yes this IS the wheel for the GTO. Makes it very 'executive' looking if that makes any sense. I believe it only comes in a 19 correct?

Those are even better looking than CCW 505A's IMO. Awesome, simply a killer looking wheel!

Not to cast any stones at those that are big CCW fans, but having recently voted with my wallet for the HSV wheels, I (naturally) very much agree with both of these comments. The CCWs were on my short list of wheel choices, but I felt the HSV VZ GTOs were simply a better match for the car. I have been looking since before I got my Goat for wheels and these were the ones I kept coming back to. Chosing wheels for the GTO is harder than most cars and truly is a subjective decision, once you are beyond the fitment issues -- which is no small matter with this car. Some want wheels that shout aftermarket, while others (like me) are wanting something that looks more OEM. Neither direction is wrong, it is just a personal preference.
Someone else here mentioned they thought the GTO looks best with little or no lip, and I think that is probably why I passed on that style of design; like the CCWs, which very definitely have fat lips. If you look at the HSV VZ GTO wheels, you will notice there is a rounded transition on their lips, which is likely why it fits better (to my eye) with the rest of the cars rounded lines. Interesting also to note how the rounded lips make very low profile tires look somehow more substantial in proportion. It also tends to make the rotors not look so miniscule inside 19" wheels. I was kinda set on 18s for this reason and worries about diminshed ride quality; but as I have always been a sucker for a 'pretty face', that objection was easily rationalized away.

Executive looking is correct. I love the looks of this car with the front and rear fascias, the rear "SS style" upswept spoiler, those beautiful wheels etc etc. God I wish I could duplicate this look without spending $9,000 or whatever is is with freight and whatnot.

By the way I have to say I absolutely LOVE the baby blue HSV GTO on top of the board! Yeah, I would buy that.

You been holding out on us Woz?!?! C'mon now mate, get with it and post ALL the pics you have; or at least some taken at places more scenic than your driveway! :D
Seriosuly though; between your car pics, the pro shots of the Vauxhall Monaro VXR and that Mica Blue (that color IS awesome!) HSV Monaro; it helped end my fence ridin', heel draggin' wheel selection process. Thanks for the inspiration Woz!
TIA for posting more pics.

They should, so long as you haven't added anything new in the last 6 months.

Contact Geoff @ JHP (see vendor list to the left here), as he has had at least five other inquiries on these wheels and is looking to start a Group Purchase, given suffiecient interest.
The first sets of these wheels are almost here now -- pics to follow soon!

True, but I could have gotten out of the car and made some more scenic shots as zaracsan said.
My excuse, with ~20hr workdays for the last couple of months, pics would have to be taken with a flash ;-) Talk to my US team 6am, talk with UK team 5pm, talk to joint team midnight ...... doing it from US in October, priceless (I will be in Boulder, CO - not sure of the dates yet).

Did you say 20 hr. work days! I thought a 7 day work week was unbearable!
Geoff or Woz, do either of you have access to undercar pics of a 2005 Monaro? I am looking at Woz's rear bumper & it would allow the Pontiac SAP mufflers without the SAP bumper. If it bolts up instead of welding it up, I may have to get the Aussie rear bumper just like Woz's.

Thankfully the project ends on 21st (must be complete!).
I have seen underbody shots either here or on ls1.com.au .... will search.
