I never got live, heard that it was not worth it. Do you know if I get a subscribtion now would it carry over to the XBOX360?

Good question. I hope so. I am already paying the $50 a year, and I want to keep my Screenname. And Live is a great multiplier for the value of the XBox. It just depends on how much you use it and for what games.

I hated Halo2. I guess it's because I played so much of the first Rainbow. The new one is pretty sick. Visually it is tons better, with lighting effects simliar to Splinter Cell. And the new XBoxLive P.E.C. option makes the online gaming aspect even better.

Xbox live is xbox live...Im pretty sure it will carry over. Xbox live is worth every penny if you find the right games to play online.

For all of you wondering if your account will transfer over... the answer is yes it will. As soon as you pick up a 360 you will be able to get right onto LIVE with you current gamertag. Mine is "Evil Ash24".

My GT is the same. The new RS6 is horrible. The zoom feature's suck and so do the graphics. It isn't an improvment over the last game IMO. Supposedly the 360 comes with a low level of live service standard. No voice, not sure about friends. You pay to be a "Gold" Level Member which is pretty much what you have now.

I totally agree with you about RS6... looks like a PS2 port!!! UGLY!!!

There was talk about that but I am not sure... I know it will have windows media player built into it... not sure about browsing the internet. I want to say NO though. Doing so you would run the risks of viruses getting onto your xbox... don't think that would be good!

No built in browser. It will stream vids to XP media edition pc's.

I play on Halo 2 mostly right now, and my gamer tag is NorraccM, which is the reverse of my last name/user name here. I had "McCarron" at one point but I let it expire due to laziness and unwillingness to play for a while thinking I'd renew it later. Well it got locked up for good and is gone.

blue05 you might want to do just that and get it now. The account WILL transfer over and it is currently cheaper now than it will be once the 360 comes out. You can also score the whole kits (headset, headset adapter, 12 month subscription and an old Xbox Live game) on eBay for around $50 after shipping, I need to buy a new kit because my headset broke and I need another year by the end of the month.

It is still going to be $50 a year. The $70 you keep seeing is for the package with the headset included...Like the very first time Live came out.
