If you do a little digging @ www.holden.com.au I think you just might be able to see what it will look like. I do believe Holden calls it Shanghi Red though. Just a thought....

I hope Spice Red is more "red" than "maroon". Does GM have a rule against a BRIGHT METALLIC RED? Most every bright red GM color is FLAT, except I've seen some "Magnetic Red" metallic C5 vettes that look nice. And what happened to the metallic bright red color on that prototype GTO? IMHO GM has a crummy eye for color except for the Vettes and maybe Cadillac. It's like they deliberately hold back their good colors from their other products. Which is like hurting 90% of your product line to sell the other 10%.

And what happened to the metallic bright red color on that prototype GTO?That's what I'd like to know. I just saw it on the '04 GTO episode of American Muscle Car and thought, wow, that color looks great. Too bad it didn't make it to production! :banghead:

To my understanding, that color on the Prototype '04 was a "one off" color.

I'm with you on that one. if you want to see some gorgeous metallic reds, google saleen mustangs and look for a color called "Lizstick Red". It's BRIGHT red except metallic. It looks like bright red anodized aluminum...........GORGEOUS!!!!

Dodge also has a VERY similar color. i saw it on the Charger SRT-8 and the Caliber concept at the auto show last year. :hail:
