Here's one of those stupid questions, primarily because I haven't seen a ton of info on it.

Considering the fact around my area, there's not a whole lot of places you could really open the throttle of a GTO without repercussions such as SWAT, Troopers and Tactical Forces pouncing on you.

In that case, what purpose (other than bling and cool factor) would a NOS kit serve? Looking at how low the prices are on those kits these days (remembering the thousands they used to cost in the olden days), it's almost tempting to have simply for the bling factor.

But I don't want to be camming my engine or changing out pipes or anything..

Track use! Start going to the track with it and really enjoy yourself!

I go WOT on the street almost every single day! Not for more than a few seconds, generally - I'll grant you that...

Track use definately.. :shiner:

I may get it for that, but also just for grits and grin. :shiner:

My thing is, wet vs. dry... wet is the ultimate, dry gets the job done. Most people here run dry it seems. I'm one of those folks who says, if you're not going over the edge, don't go at all.. but I can't see myself even making use of a full wet kit. Heck, direct-port nitrous, now that's what I'd like to see..

...Except I don't see myself making use of it that much ;) It sounds like a dry kit would be best for my situation.

I barely race, but I do plan on taking it to the track every now and then! Coming from a background of building engines from the ground up, I'd actually like to not start camming and working this motor. If I were to do that, I'd build one on the side and just do a weekend swap LOL.

Anyhew, thoughts?

Most nitrous users here use NX wet kits. They outnumber other manufacturers combined, probably 3 to 1.
