Check this out,is this the savour for guys running the KN CAI with a dry shot.Just replace your filter with this and its done...Only thing I worry about is it might freeze the MAF shooting directly towards it.

Don't like this. With a dry kit you want an indirect flow of nitrous to give the MAF more time to adjust the fuel and less chance of freezing the screen.

Aye, from everything I've read/learned, that would not be the setup to go with.

90 degrees to the MAF at the base of the filter is the way to go from what i've seen.

Thats what I thought too
The problem with the Maf on our cars is its so close to the filter,on a import most filters sit pretty far away as to give time to shoot the spray into the tube..

Oh well back to the drawing board..

Thats what I was trying to find out from Zex if it did create a plume, but from the looks of it no dice...I guess the one guy who made the little triangle plate had a good idea for his dry kit.

from what ive learned, these are the options for those of us running dry kits w/our k&n cai setup.

1. spray 90* right before the maf inside the heatshield
2. build that triangular adaptor (like JasonYng did) and spray right at the top of the cone
3. relocate the maf by cutting the k&n tube (not crazy about that one)
4. put the stock airbox back in and sell your k&n cai on the parts for sale section of this forum for around 150 bucks and use that money to get a JHP Maf Pipe and a k&n drop in filter.

I instructed my installer to choose option 1. From what we've read, it seems like it works....some pretty experienced guys have had sucess with it so i trust them.....If for some reason im not happy with it, i will put the stock box back in.....but im thinking that i may end up converting to a wet system anyways but thats down the road....i should have my car back tonite (i've said that before) but i'll take pics and let you know how it worked out. Are you doing the install yourself? Sorry for the long post
