We learned that we had missed a horrific crash between Koretsky and Bruce Allen on Friday but the good news today was that Bruce should have been going home from the hospital about mid afternoon. Our prayers are with you Bruce.

Mike and I thought it would be neat to buy a Quicksilver Helment that matched Ethyl, the thread of the thought was that we might get her going fast enough to need one. Plus the wives couldn't complain about us doing something constructive to protect our heads. After buyin the helment we were walking around the pits and the Pro Stock guys are just fun to talk to. Jim Yates came out and said hi, we took pictures and went on.

About the time we got to Mark Pawuk to sign the helment we got thinking, why not every GTO driver out today. We backtracked on Yates, then Greg Anderson, Jason Line, Mike Edwards, Cody Barklage, Zack Barklage, and Warren Johnson. These weren't just slash and dash autographs either, They took a lot of time to do a good job with Warren Johnson presenting the best signature. See the pics below. Mike and I are enthusiastic but this helment is never gonna be worn somewhere it could get scratched so we got to go buy another one. LOL

Mark signed his Cowboy and Zack Barklage put his ET and top MPH on it. In the whole day we spent seeking these guys out and getting the autographs I was totally impressed with their care and courtesy, these guys all have class above all. For the Texans, the Barklage car is an incredibly wonderful organization for us to be proud of.

Awesome keepsake of the race! What a great idea, getting all the GTO drivers' autographs. That'd be great in my den! :)
So glad Kenny and Bruce are doing okay. Scary, scary stuff.
Glad you had fun. Can't wait for the race here in a week and a half!

Having the chance to talkto each of them and the members of their crews was perhaps the biggest thrill of all.

That helmet is great. I talked with Greg when he was here in Denver. He has nothing but praise for the Goat.

My bad. They are a great group and a good team. Embarrissing, guess I got a couple of different posts mixed up. Prolly while fighting with trolls in the kill section. If you go to an NHRA event, you owe it to yourself to look them up.
