I'm a car salesman myself and I don't find it very surprising. I work with some really strange people sometimes. Many with drug and alcohol problems. I bet that salesperson has that problem too. Whats pathetic is that he will be out of jail soon and even be able to drive again.

Should be required, any job that involves driving a vehicle (that isn't your own) should have random drug and/or alcohol testing.
The company I work for requires it. Since we are driving company vehicles. I'm not talking testing everyday, but occaionally they bring someone in and randomly pick a few people to be tested.
If you want to do that kind of stuff, do it on your own time, not at work IMO...

its the 231st level, right above the lawyers. Remember, in hell, the levels go up numerically as you descend into the deeper planes. The higher the number, the further in hell you are, and the worse it is for you.
232nd is for lawyers
233rd if for politicians
you get the idea.
Test drive gone bad...crap happens. :(
Thats the best way to put it.

Are there different laws in Australia?
I thought the customer was supposed to be doing the driving in a test drive?

The sales person who took me on my original test drive was awesome, he could talk cars all day-- and we actually did for quite awhile. I came back to the dealership to let my mom drive the car, my sales guy was busy and they sent us out with another guy who was about as dumb as a bag of rocks, couldn't even answer basic warranty questions. Plus pulling up to the dealership, all the scary salespeople we're camped right by the customer parkingspaces, chainsmoking before I was pounced on-- I almost swore one was Bam Margera's Uncle Vito. So yeah, I know the range. But I have to say, after working at a Lexus dealer and being hit on by all the slimey sales people, I ususally expect them to suck at life more often than not.
