I'm running 18X10 in the rear, but I'm not sure of the offset. Called CCW and the gave me what I needed. With the fender roll and a little massaging on the inner fender wells, I still have a slight rub (haven't had a chance to figure out where) but only with passengers in the back.

Hey. I am very interested in going wider in the back. How much is it to roll the fenders and what do you mean by "massage fender wells". Thanks bro.

I thought the CCW package was being billed as a no roll package. I figured there was no way with a 10" in the rear and running 275's.

I just installed 275 in the rear on 17x8 stock rims. The tires rub on the fender lips.I had to roll the lips to get the clearance. It still is very close, but with no passengers and easy driving over dips and ramps, it clears just fine.Assuming that the offset information given in this forum is accurate(I read several threads stating a 45mm offset,as well as tire rack specs on the oem repl. rims they offer for the GTO)I would say that an offset rim pushing the wheel further in towards the shock will give the clearance that is needed for all types of driving. If you dont want to roll the lips, I'd recommend that you use an aftermarket 17x8 rim with an offset towards the shock.I have plenty of clearance there and if my rims were offset 1/4" towards the shock,I'd have no rubbing issues at all.
Lastly, it looks great. The car needs 275's in the rear.I have no pics avail yet, but can honestly say it looks great. It has the muscular sidewall appearance look, not the rubber band "ricey" look.
Do some homework and then make your decision. Each car is different. Many people here told me they had no rubbing.I had no such luck. Also, ck out the specs for each individual tire mfg. for the 275/40/17 tire.Different mfgrs have different measurements. The tread area is waht is critical here.I have bfg g force kdws in rear to match the factory fronts, and it is 10 " wide at tread area.IT RUBS. ck out other brands.Good Luck

I had my fender lips trimmed and resealed ($140) to avoid the rubbing. Lips are now about 3/16" (measured to the outside edge).

I went with boyd coddingon "destructors" with 18X9.5 in the rear with 285/35 Nitto's.
By the way I did have to roll the fenders had a shop do it for $60 here in tempe. Only rubs with passengers on cornering or hard accelerations.

Is a 18x9.5 with a 40mm offset ok to use in the rears? I realize I would have to roll the fenders.

Sorry I have no idea. My dad has a GTO also and he is a genius at making the biggest tire fit. I do know that it wasn't ordered on the mm scale. Boyd wanted all their measurements in inches. Other than that I'm not sure.

No!!

You need atleast a 45mm offset and preferably around 50-55.

I THINK 55mm is the biggest offset possible without notching the control arm.

Just don't quote me on it, check it for yourself.

I have 18x9.5's in the rear with a 45mm offset. Fenders rolled and ground down. There is about 12mm clearance on the inside towards the control arm.

Tire manufacturers spend lots of money on tire design, and evenr more money on a fine quality performance tire like a KDW. It is not a smart move to install a 275mm tire on a 8 inch wheel. The tire manufacturer recommends the minimum wheel width to be 9 inches. You are puckering your tires. Be careful
