Are there DR's available that will fit on the stock 17" rims and not rub in the wheel wells. If so, what manufacturer and what size please?

Nittos 555r DR in a 245/45/17 will work just fine!

BF Goodrich also makes a drag radial, 275/40/17.

They were fine on my car and many others...but I know some people complained and one of my buddies here in town has a slight rub on one side with the 275s. I just didn't mention them because when people say no rolling they are usually certain no rolling or rubbing is what they want. I know plenty of guys with the 245 series Nittos cutting the same times as the 275 Nitto guys. So really I am not sure how much more beneficial it is to have the 275 over the 245. If you definately want no rubbing... then I would just be safe and get the 245 to be sure!

Oh, I didn't know that anyone was having any trouble with the Nitto 275's rubbing.

Sorry for the mis-info.

On mine I had the 275's on and four adults in the car cruising down AL's superb interstate system and had no rubbing whatsoever.:p

I wasnt saying your wrong at all... I myself had the 275 Nittos, and with a full car never once had any issues, while others have minimal rubbing. The rub doesnt seem to bother themn much, but I just like to inform people there may be a chance of rubbing!;)
