Has any body tried to run this size tire on the MC2 RT6 rims.
My car came with them all ready on it. I know on my old Chevy
truck I use to run 275/60-15 on the stock rim with no wear
problems. I plan on cutting the lip out instead of rolling it.

How did you make out with the tires? I would like to put more meat on my MC2 FZ6 rears. I currently have 245's but would like to put 275/35's on also. Don't know about doing it on an 8" wide rim though.

Max on those rims is a 255. Even that is too tight. You really need a 9 inch or larger wheel for a 275. The sidwall does not have enough give to set the bead on these rims. I was thinking the same thing a while back. I would like to widen my rims, but it just is not cost effective.

Not even a 265/35? Wow, that isn't what I wanted to here. Thanks though.

Sorry for the bad news. I guess it is time for a staggard set of wheels.

There is a shop about 20 min from parents house that specializes in fixing bent rims. I am going to talk to them about widening my rims to 9.5". For now I just put 245 all the way around.

The local shop that fixed wheels closed and the guy that owned it went to work for Trans Wheel in Tampa. I contacted james at Weld Craft Wheels, he said he could do both for $450.00 + freight with a one week tun around. This definately a serious thought for me.

I would also consider it so let me know how it goes if you do it.
