Why no pics????

There are pictures of almost every 2005 model coming out. How come there are no official pics of the 05 GTO? Are they just going to show up at dealerships all of the sudden or what? Maybe I am just ancy because I want one so bad. Any info on when these pics will be released would be great.

That is kind of my point. They will be at dealerships in about 4 months and we still have no pictures of them. Do any "insiders" know when the pics will be released?

Dealers are busy printing the "Adjusted Market Value" stickers that will be placed next to the MSRP when the 05's hit the dealer lots.

I heard they ran out of printer ink so there was none left to print the actual 05 GTO pictures.

Pretty much the back bumper from the autocross with the exhaust to go along with it. The hood from the red car in the Last Ride. 50 more HP. A 0 to 60 in 4.6 seconds. We should see a press release on August 1st ;)

NikiVee ran a few photos of a 2005 model a few months back. Nobody believed him then, maybe they will now. But as I remember the photo only showed the rear end. Still informative though.

That 0-60 time is sweet. That seems like a big jump for 50hp/30tq, at least compared ot the "official" 5.3 for the '04. Is that the time they are getting in testing? Wow, no complaints then I would say. Of course that does compare a bit with the 4.3 that the LPE GTO got in MotorTrend. That was 450hp and 395 tq, so I guess I answer my own question/thought.

Those pictures are the ricer-goat from the "Last Ride" move. Some parts of it, like the spoiler and rear treatment may make it into the 2005 GTO, but I seriously doubt the front end will. To get a better idea what the 2005 GTO will look like look for the "Autocross" GTO concept car. It's slightly toned down from the "Last Ride" ricer-goat.

I didn't say that fascia would be on the 2005, just the hood will.

It's the same hood and the same rear bumper as photographed in Australia, just click the link. You'll also note that the 2005 spied isn't wearing any of the Autocross stuff, and that the press release that was leaked says they will be sold through Pontiac dealers.

While it won't be duct tape - I am thinking that the grey inset is going to be the look. The autocross car has a body colored fascia. The release from Australia shows both the Monaro and GTO w/ a similar inset. Why else would they have made up the piece to look like that for the last ride car? My thought is last ride car w/ standard front fascia instead of the splitter and not sure on the wing. The logical thing would be standard existing wing, offer a spoiler delete option and the wing from the last ride car to go along w/ the autocross parts, I think.

I must say, I like the scoops with the recessed grilles, but not so much with the flat grilles. Wasn't it said that the recessed grilles might be an option on the '05?

The recessed grills were incorporated in the 04 GTO Autocross concept. Those parts will be offered up for sale in the Fall.
