hmmm....early spring [Archive]

Just got info from one of the local GM dealers in my area...said that the 06 GTO wouldn't be in until early spring....looks like dealers are already starting to line up, the first GTO's were supposed to be out in December....guess the local pontiac guys are late.......

The first will be out in December. I believe DMS is getting their first 06 around GTO Dec. 20th. I have a delivery date of Jan. 20th because I'm in New York.

I'm expecting January delivery as well; car just got built last week so we'll see if it can make it here (FL) on schedule. My dealer said last week that the first shipment of '06s just arrived in port (or was just about to arrive), but I don't know if there's any truth to that.

On a personal note, my '06 just hit status 3450, so I'm geekin'. :D

Because we live on the east coast, we will wait longer.

According to the tracker their are a few that are already on rail on route to the dealerships. I would expect that they should be arriving this month sometime.

My TPW was 9/5 so am expecting it to arrive not long after the 8/22 TPW cars.

I emailed a dealer in N. CA that showed up on pontiac.com as having an '06 enroute. He said they couldn't give me a quote as they don't have the sticker for it,nor the car, but were expecting both soon.
I post this because hey, the dealer is only about 120 miles away from the port the cars come from, so it is logical to assume they'd be among the first with a real live '06 on the lot.

I reread the email. Pontiac says he has a red and a silver '06 enroute. Here's the response:
"I am sorry we have 2 GTO's one red and one silver I can not quote you
at
this time GM has not sent us an invoice on these vehicles so we can not
sell
or quote yet, we should have this information in just a few days and I
will
get back to you. "
So, it sounds like there ARE some '06s on the dealer lots as we speak!
