18" Wheels. This could be the optional wheel on the 05 GTO

How is GM going to butcher that car to make it into a GTO?

I am in love. Great pics. I am counting the days until my 05 is in the garage. I reaaly like the no spoiler look. I hope this is an option. Nikivee, you are the man!

Call me selfish, but I want to see more of the cars behind the Monaros. The one in the first shot looks like a Commodore exec, the second a Berlina or Calais and the one in the distance in the third shot are probably a Calais.
Nikivee, do you have any of the other cars that were there ?
If that is the grey, it is a new colour not from Holden's existing range.
The blue and black look better than the yellow IMO.

Won't it be pretty much the same???? Does anyone know if there will be a spoiler delete option?

GM will change the front end, the rear end, add a spoiler, change the fog lights, and who know what else. That car looks great just like that. I would buy one of those.

Back in January I was told spoiler delete option and 18" wheels standard. It appears that the 18" wheels are an option now. Maybe the spoiler stays. I will try and find out tonite or tommorow on the spoiler issue.

Doesn't look too bad, but not much changed. Seeing as they'll be likely $62K I still feel good about getting mine for $52K. Love the brakes although I think I'll go for 4-potters. Exhaust and edit and I'll have more power than these, as they're still LS1s.
The hood scoops just don't do it for me. I presume that is the new grey? Touch of blue in it.

The parking sensors (Holden calls it Park Assist) are in the current Monaro. Don't think you guys will get them, as it looks like you'll get a different "GTO" bumper. The Bridgey SO3s were specially developed for the car. ZR rated, so there is no speed limiter in the Monaro - in testing stock Series IIIs have been electronically timed at 167mph.
They wear fast (10-15K miles a set apparently - I have 2.5K miles up and notice them wearing) and stick like baby shit to a nappy, even in the wet. Exxy to buy here in Oz. Bridgestone has a big relationship with Holden - some of Oz' best racing drivers do product development for them, and it shows on the car, which handles great with them on 18" rims.

Is it me, or does the exhaust tips on the Monaro stick out too far. :eek2:

"91Formula,
Australian Design Rules (ADR) may have had a say in exhaust tip length - ADR set out stringent rules re exhaust exit location, etc and this may be the reason for the "additional" length.

Notice that the Monaros have the gas tank located now in the trunk like the GTO's...you can tell by the high location of the filler door. Also notice the RPA's (Rear Parking Assist)...doubt it if the GTO's get them.
