Hey all...
Trying to decide between 2006 and 2005. The dealers are telling me the 2006 will not be available till april...however, on pontiac.com they list 2006's in my area with VINs. When will they be available in Ohio? Great board, thanks!

The 2006 is coming right now. There are many in stock as we speak. The dealers are lying to you so they can sell you a 2005. Call them back and tell them that they lied to you and you aren't doing business with them, then move on and DON'T tell the dealer that you are at ALL interested in an 05, ONLY an 06, and they will get the idea.

Two 06 Goats came in today at Jeff Wyler Eastgate in Batavia, Ohio. Which is right outside Cincinnati, Ohio. Black and silver with the 18" wheels

Go with the 2006. They are available and in ohio. Plus the "RED TAG EVENT" sale applies to them. Check the pontiac site for the red tag sale price. I think its 30,111?

There are quite a few '06's listed in the Cleveland area. Although a much lower price would be had on an '05 I would imagine.

keep in mind that some of those may still be on a train or truck as it is put on the websites up to 1 month before arriving at the dealer, also seems like the already sold orders are also up on there. So calling or going to the dealer(if close enough) would be good at determining if they really have the car or not and if it is already sold...

Bluerovergoat - You have seen my car before I have! The IBM/6M/18" just came in. I ordered it from Jeff Wyler on 31 May and just found out yesterday from the new car sales manager that it is in. The only problem is that I don't get home from Washington until Wednesday night. They will have it ready for me Thursday morning at 9 AM when they open. I can't wait! I think that someone wants the silver 06 but the black one is available. I think its a 6M.
Hope I get a Red Tag price. Had not planned on it but it would be nice.

Quite a bit higher than that...Keep in mind that Red tag price on the GTO on gmbuypower is without trans selection.

Thanks for all of the info. I've been calling all around cleveland and I get the same answer from the dealers...march or april. Maybe they just don't know what they are talking about?? Would like to get a black M6 by mid december.

I think that the black 06 that just came in to Jeff Wyler in Cincinnati is an M6 and might be available.

search for 2005 gto with your zipcode on www.gmbuypower.com then change the year=2005 to year=2006 and it will come up.
Then call or go to the dealers from there, they should have some on the lots in CA by now.
Either they didn't put any orders in early or they are lieing to you to get you to buy a 2005 they have on thier lot.

'06s have arrived in St. Louis also. I saw at least 1 (spice red) at Behlmann Pontiac in Hazelwood just this morning while passing. Will check it out later today.

if they all still ride the train to Kansas city, then we sort of know something by this as far as timing goes...

Scottmraz: Thanks a million, there are 06's all over the place. I still don't know why I couldn't find them on GM Buy power, thanks for the link.

Just finished signing the paperwork on a incoming 06'. I got the supplier price (invoice + $100) and 18" wheels at no charge. Car has a delivery date of 11/21 (Arizona)but I was told it could be a little longer. I was also told that these inbound cars can be sold ahead of their arrival at the dealerships and they will qualify for the supplier pricing until 01/03/06.

I was also told that these inbound cars can be sold ahead of their arrival at the dealerships and they will qualify for the supplier pricing until 01/03/06.This is correct, if they have a VIN they can contract. However, be careful as that can add transit time to the car. When you contract on a car in transit and the dealer marks it delivered in the GM system, the car seems to "drop from the radar" in the GM system.

Thanks for the heads up. I will post when the car is delivered. The dealer also said it may be a week or two past the actual date. Their delivery dates are best guesses. If UPS & Fed Ex can track a package the size of a envelope, why can't GM track delivery of a automoblie? Time to ask some more questions of my dealer.

The 06 IBM with 18" wheels at Jeff Wyler has found a new home.
