I assume about a 13 flat. Not sure though, would the manual be able to pull the 1/4 mile off quicker due to less paristic loss?

I would assume the manual would run a tad quicker with a good driver, .1 to .2 tenths and a mph or 2 faster in the quarter than the auto. The auto should 60' better and be more consistant. Thats just been my expirence anyways.

I don't care what they say, if the car comes in at the same weight as the 04, it
ain't gonna run 4.6 unless a really experienced driver is at the wheel and even then

how much does a corvette weigh? reason i ask is, it will be the same engine in the GTO, and the Vette runs it in 4.3 seconds, magazine confirmed, however good that is. From what Ive read the auto is supposed to run 60 in 4.6, manual in 4.8, which just sounds weird. Also, the Vette ran a 12.7 in the 1/4, so i predict the GTO will be in low 13s. Probly every once in a while, you might run into a good driver w/ the 6 speed that could get 13 flat or less.

edit: just to add, the 05 vette weighs less than the 04, which makes me think the GTO will as well. 05 Vette weighs 3100, so if the 05 GTO weighs 3600, i would say expect around 13.2s in the 1/4.

The C6 Corvette LS2 in Motor Trend weighed 3267. I understand that the LS2 engine weighs 15 pounds less than the LS1, so I doubt the 05 GTO will weigh any less than the 04 if larger brakes are fitted. I expect that the 05 will run stronger than the current CTS-V, with both auto and 6 speed cars capable of 13 flat 110 quarters on the right day in the right hands.

The 05 Vette weighs less caue its smaller, 4 1/2 inches shorter and about 1 inch more narrow.
