I plan on ordering one @ GMS once I find out the price and what the cost of the options (18" rims, & appearance package). I will stay tuned through this web site for prices once they are released. :D

So what is the "official" price? I don't know I would never buy a car without knowing the MSRP on it.

Here is a link to dealerworld ordering guide:

Good for all GM Vehicle Lines
Do a search for GMS
MSRP is not published yet, nor option prices
Expect about a 1% price increase in line with most other GM brands
For the 2004 GTO, GMS is about $3,000 less than MSRP, then add any applicable rebates, card earnings, etc.

Those losers laughed at my buddy for GMS on his back a few months ago...now they are like all the Detroit area dealers...sitting on bunches. I drive buy every day going to/from work watching the rainbow of colors gathering dust.
He went over to Noonan same day after calling a couple of dealers...drove off in his at GMS with no issue...after buying two cars from Auburn beforehand. They did the same to me, and guess what, I had bought two from them, too. Oh, well, their choice, their extra inventory and two lost sales.

GMS is GM employee discount, they have it in australia but Holden woud rather lease a employee a car at a very cheap rate;)
The company I work for has a discount deal with a manufacture but its ford :sneaky: If only it was a holden.
On the upside I can get 6000$ off an xr6 turbo.

Is he willing to bet the car on that?
Like desertgoat is suspicious of dealer gouging, I am suspicious these cars will be here before Jan 1.

My theroy is that there is a small window (currently) where the dealers will be allowing GMS employees to order the 05s. Let's face it most dealers are not the most educated in their own product. Like many of you out there, I have personally found this to be true. I think after the inital batch of cars hit the U.S., and demand is up from those of us waiting, magazine articles (which I think will be mostly positive this time), they will stop allowing GMS purchases. This of course is just my own two cents..

Magazine articles were mostly very positive for the 2004. It's the Internet forums that have bashed the goat.
wait, how do you get the cars w/ this GMS? Im confused.

Be a GM employee or family member to one who is.

Correct.
For the record: You CANNOT get GMS pricing without the proper documentation though GM. Do not get fooled by other dealers offering "GMS to everyone!" because it is against the policy between the dealer and Pontiac.

If the dealer is free to mark up the price above MSRP, it seems to me he is free to sell it at "GMS" price to anybody. The key is he only gets reimbursed by the factory in the case of a true GMS sale.

GMS price is beyond the holdback, so that is why it is subject to documentation. ;)

I havent seen anyone offering GMS to anyone. Some have offered supplier pricing to anyone and that is completely different.

GMS is not the same as GM Supplier, very confusing acronym!

I went to order an 05 (GMS-employee) at a local dealer and was told I needed an authorization # from my father-in law who works in the service dept at a Chevy dealer in Phx, Az. I contacted him and told him I needed the auth # (he has never bought a car through the program). He checked with his salesmanager and was told it was only good at his dealership. I read the GMS web site information and didn't see this as a policy. Is there a 1-800 # he can call to get the auth #? He has very limited access to the internet, and we tried to log in but was having trouble. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated. :banghead:

"GMS" is for GM employee's only. It is not for Suppliers, it is not for Dealership Employees, they have their own programs. The Dealership Employee program is only good at the dealership the employee is employed at, or one owned by the same dealer. And the Dealership Employee program is only good for the employee, it is not good for family members.

Yea, I just found that out. He thought he (and family) qualified, but had never used the program. Well maybe I will be buying an 04 after all. They are much better deals right now.

Dear Tom,
in regards to the 04's I have plenty availale and we are selling for $2,000 under invoice. as far as the GMS pricing for dealership employees at various times throughout the year Gm opens the door so that you can buy at gms through youre fathers store. and once in awhile cross product-lines.If infact he was a GM employee not a dealership employee, that is altogether differnt. hope this helps.
