Looks great bro, thanks.

I am ready to pick these rims up but here is the decision that I have to make. Do I go with the 19x8's like these? Or pick up 18x8 (with 245/40 tires) in front and 18x9.5 in rear (275/40 tires) and tub the rear fenders? Thoughts? Thanks!

He wanted to see 19's, not 18's. :)

this is also my hardest decision, 19s or 18s. I doubt i can squeeze 19s in her.

Yes you can:)

You can squeeze 19's in there easy. In fact, Phil has my old rims. :) However, I would choose 18's for two reasons: 1) better ride; 2) 18" drag radials if that's your thing (they don't make 'em for 19's).

But with the TSW's you can get a nice 8" up front and 9.5" in back (fenders rolled). 245's and 275's. With Toyo street tires and 265's on 19x9.5 in the rear, I was cutting 1.7 sixty-foots when I hooked up. They were sweet.

Careful... I still get some rubbing on the driver side as you can see in the 1st pic, when I have a full tank of gas, a passenger, and when I go over big bumps at high speeds.

do 18x9.5" and 19x9.5" have the same problems or is one worse than the other for rubbing?

Where did you get your center caps from??

I just got a set of staggered 19" Thruxtons this week. I think they look absolutely amazing. I put some Toyo T1R's on them, 245 front and 275 rear. I had the fenders rolled before I got the wheels, and to my suprise, no rubbing. The tires are awesome also; very quiet and a lot of grip. Here are some new pics of the car with the wheels and freshly Zaino'd.

I got them from a place locally in East Hanover, NJ called Illusions. I got the wheels and tires for $1800, plus $140 to mount and balance, and $45 for American Racing spline linstall kit. I thought it was a pretty good price compared to some of the online stores, plus no shipping hassels. So far, I must say I'm loving these wheels. It totally changes the look of the car and draws a lot more attention now. Also, no issues with rubbing the rear tires with only a mild fender roll (even with hard launches). And the car now has some ridiculous traction; it really grabs the road. Highly recommend the Toyo T1R's.

Staggered 18x8 front, 18x9 rear on Falken Azenis. The rear fenders were rolled with a baseball bat, and they still rub if I stick a two fatties in rear seats.

New 06 tail lights, POS Magnaflow catback, and black vinyl Pontiac arrowhead are also seen in this image.

That's a damn good question. I don't know what happened to the pics I posted there last month. I have some new ones with the new Pontiac center cap overlays and a fresh coat of Zaino. I'll post them today for you.

man the 19"s don't even look big, so the Toyo tires don't rub at all?

drburns
07-14-2006, 01:13 PM
Not at all. I've had them now for about 2 months and I've been in all types of driving conditions. Even under hard launchs, the tires still have room to tuck under the fenders. The guy that rolled my fenders said he thought the fenders may have flared slightly when he rolled them, so there would be plenty of clearance. I guess he was right.
