Obviously customs made for the race team but what does everyone think of the look?

I'm gonna need four. :D Don't know what you'll do with two? Just the rear? Or do you want to freak people out by putting them on the driver's side but not the passenger side?

They look just like the setup on Stu Hayner's car...Granted the front is different but the flares are similar if not the exact same. How've you guys missed this?

I've seen the one from goautosport.com, but you can't buy them can you??
I've heard of some raceteams that are willing to sell parts for funding and etc...
Currently the only flares that I know of on the market are the ones from the GTO Justice and W2W. I like the ones pictured above the best tho..but maybe that's because I've always been a fan of how the M3 GTR looks.

No, you can't buy them. Over a year ago I spoke with the AD guys and they said that they had planned to make some of their race parts publicly available but that never materialized.

And Wheel to Wheel wants half the cost of the GTO to put their flares on. :shiner:

DAMN!! That "new" AD car looks awesome!

I'd buy 'em in a heartbeat.........just watched Chip Foose trick out two Caddy's for the SEMA show. Piece of cake to mod parts.........think I'll write him to see if he'll do something for us.

Chip does some awsome work, it would be awsome if he did do something...but being as busy as he is, I don't know if anything will ever come of it. Maybe a cool concept drawing? However, it couldn't hurt to try.

Take a closer look. The white car starts the flare from the crease in the fender whereas the one you pictured starts from the top of the fender. They both look nice but I like Stu's better.

Actually if you notice on the passenger side flare the junction between the front fascia and the flares is identical to that of the white car, which is in the same place as on our car...The joint on Stu's car is harder to see because of the color choice right at that junction (silver/white as opposed to white/white).

EDIT
Nevermind, I see what you were talking about. You're talking about the height on the fender where the flare starts. I hadn't noticed that before. Good catch.

I think it looks like crap. Too sharp for the curves of the car.

Much more natural flowing with the existing lines of the car.

Yup! the freak'n hailo car Pontiac wish it had.

If Pontiac made the GTO-R fender flares, i'd rock those for sure and get some nice custom wide wheels to go with them. ;)

It sucks that I my favorite fender flares for this car are from the race cars and NOT available for the public to purchase. If the W2W or the Justice are were more similar to either of those shown above, I just might be able to justify spending the amount of money they are asking...
The closest would be the GTO Justice.

I found this while poking around AD's site. Note the DMS logo on the coilover. Anyone know where we could get something similar? Something like this might allow for a little wider front tire & eliminate rubbing.

You're joking, right? They are a sponsor...Look for the white "DMS North America" on the yellow and blue background on the sponsor bar at the left...They're having an introductory sale right now, $3700. Seriously.

Sorry. When I see DMS, I think of http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/images/ads/dms.jpg first. I looked right after I posted & spotted http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/images/ads/DMSNA.jpg. I couldn't make heads or tails of their site when I linked to it. Anyway, I'd have to wait for that kind of suspension. Money isn't tight, it's non-existent.

can you actually fit larger tires with those DMS coilovers? Correct me if i'm wrong but, i thought that the other coilovers available pretty much limit the size of rim/tire that will fit all around to the stock size??

Not sure. I should probably search the site for those who have this set-up installed. I think I heard statements about limiting to stock sizes. I think I was looking at it from a strut rub point of view.

No one has this setup yet so you're limited to what the manufacturer knows. It's been pretty typical that the available coilover systems have limited the sizing available.

I'd swear someone here said they had ordered or installed a coilover of some kind. Maybe not this brand.

MidWestPD sells the whiteline coilovers and they have them installed on a GTO...They actually said that fitment wouldn't be an issue, esp with aftermarket wheels.
