Got my 505A's on the car today and not only do they look great but no rubbing as Chip and John promised and thats with the spare in and a full tank of gas on some hard launches to check. I got the same setup as oh5gto, 18x8.5 255/35/18f and 19x10 275/30/19r on Michelin Pilot Sports. I know some say the cost is alittle up there, but I just got tired of searching for the right wheel and tire combo to give me the look I wanted without touching the body of the car, and the 19x10 is lighter than the stocker by alot:eek2: Will post pics as soon as Santa gets here.

Awesome!! Thats my plan too. Too hard to find staggeredwheels that will work right and not rub without rolling but still look good. I might have to go for some SP500's or something though, now. Everybody's gonna have 505A's haha (although I'm gonna wuss out and go with 17's/18's, mainly for money, but I'm telling myself for weight).

Congradulations! I just want to check one thing.... Are you saying that with this set-up, that you didn't do any modifications like rolling the fenders, etc.? If that's the case, I'd say that CCW is really catering the the GTO fans.

no way 19x10's fit in the back without rubbing. I just don't see it.

Sorry about the no pics guys, "digital camera+ 2year old=disaster", I promise to post the pics as soon as I get another. Sending John at CCW some polaroids so he might have em posted on their site sometime next week. To answer your question Greg, NO MODS are needed period. For the skeptics I'm taking the car to HPE's GTO dyno day in Houston this sat. and will let some of the guys take it for a spin, if that don't suffice just call John at CCW and he'll tell you how its done. Anythings possible if you know what your doing.

why put 275's on a 10" width?

what are the offsets front and rear that allow this to work?

What are the offset specs & all that for those wheels. Oh, & don't hesitate on the pics. We are impatient people. :madsign3:

BTW, I presume you got the same setup as Oh4GTO, not oh5gto.

My experience with the 505's has been less than perfect. I had strut rub up front (solved with some Mr. Gasket wheel spacers). I also had rub on the inside, driver side (about 10 o'clock as you look at the car). The fender lips were trimmed before the wheels got here, so no rubbing there. Just some words of warning. Keep an eye on the inside of the rears. They look awesome, but I wish they were clear coated. 2-3 hours every month, or so, to keep them in tip-top shape is a little much for me given my 65 hour work week....

My original plans are not for the CCWs. But, if some of you can fit a 10" wide wheel in the rear with no fender rubbing, I'm trying to figure out how I need to do my 9.5" rears.

Dude, I love your wheels....by far the best looking wheels for the goat.

Thx for correcting me, lol, I did get the same setup as Oh4GTO because he mentioned he had no rubbing. I called John this morning to get the wheel offsets he said the fronts have a 6.5 in backspacing and 7.5 for the rears. He also said the Michelin Pilot Sports in the 275/30 is the only one out of all the other tires he's tried that doesn't produce any rub, that its not particularly the wheels themselves. So if you don't stick with these tires eventually you will have to get the hammer out. Think im gonna purchase an extra set for the garage because I'm still not too fond of touching the body. Hope this answers some of your questions. BTW I think John might have gone out on a limb giving up the secrets on the tire selection really great and honest guy.

So 45mm for the front and 51mm for the rear (if I calculated it right... .5 in, or 12.7mm, for the lip). CCW knows what they are doing for sure. My friend Jared has had 3 sets of CCW's now on 2 different cars and they have always been perfect! Like I said, either 505's or SP500's for me!! You can't really beat it. A wheel that is gonna fit right with no problems and no searching, and you can't much beat the looks.

Can't wait to see some pics!!
And John at CCW is a great guy to talk to,I told him I wanted to go with BFG KDW II's 275's and he told me they would rub in the rear.He told me to go with the Michelin's or roll the fenders and go with the BFG's.I rolled the fenders :D
