For those of y'all who have TSWs (Thruxtons, Kyalamis, Mondellos, ect.), Did you receive hub centric centering rings or did you have to "out-source"? Thanks.

I just "test fitted" mine and the ring included wasn't even close. My center bore is a 76. Y'all the same?
BTW. The vendor said my hub was a 70.3. I always thought it was 69.9.

Thanks everybody. I'll ring up the vendor tomorrow and if he can't rectify the problem I'll try Butler or Big Wheels. Later, it's koktail:30!:burnout: :drink:

Yes but they are to convert rims that are specifically made to fit the hub of a BMW (because there are lots).

Is the bore on the TSW wheels not the same as the BMW hub?
AFAIK the only cars that use the 5x120mm bolt pattern are BMWs, GTOs, and Land Rover. You'd think TSWs with that bolt pattern would have the bore for either the BMW or GTO (the BMW makes more since it's bigger and you can use a ring for the GTO)

I don't know if they're the same as a BMW hub or not, I just wanted to point out to people that his hubrings are not universal, don't want to generate any unsatisfied customers :)

I'm baaack. hic!:drink: From the part description number I believe all TSWs for BMWs (5x120) are 76mm centerbore for the 5 and 7 series cars and they add the centering ring to make it fit the 3 series applications (76 vs. 72.5). I had originally ordered the wheels for a 3 series because I kept getting the same ole' "We don't make that wheel for the GTO!" so I gamed the system. When I finally fessed up to the vendor he said, "Oh we do tons of those applications. Let me call TSW back and get you the right centering rings." I think he didn't get the word to them in time. He'll prolly get me the right ones from TSW when I call tomorrow.

Mine came with rings. I still do have some wheel shake, but only at 55-70mph.

That sounds like a balance or out of round problem. Most speed specific problems are that way.

How do you find out if they are out of round? I had them re-balanced twice.

The best thing to do is just take it to a place and have them balanced on the car to compensate for the entire rotating mass (rotors and such) and then trued (trimmed) to make them perfectly round. If it's out of round, it only gets worse with time. But once it's done...Coolest sensation ever! This is the old school way (read time consuming and labor intensive) of doing things, but the best. The place that does mine costs $30 per wheel.
