So has anyone who put on the stock size (or any size) pirelli Pzero Neros driven in any snow yet? Are they any good?

TireRack surveys say Yes but my friend with an 05 mustang GT says they suck in snow. Of course he is used to driiving a Jeep. Pesonally Id didnt think the stockers (when new) were that bad in snow.

Id normally put snows on the stock rims and get 18s in summer with some good performance tires but my 1 Year old has other plans for my money so Im trying to find a good compromise between wet/dry traction that wont leave me stranded over a bank in snow.

Any comments good or bad would be appreciated. My stockers are shot and we are getting snow again.

I'd like to know this also. I've seen some pretty good review on Tire Rack too but i want a GTO-specific review of these.

Yeah i've considered Pzero neros, but also Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3s, I don't do alot of winter driving, winter in Chicago is 90% wet roads and the GS-D3s are supposed to be the best wet/dry tire available, maybe not a good snow tire.

I haven't had them on the GTO, but they were great in the winter on my Grand Am.

I got em' there good tires, bu I dont drive them in the snow or rain.

I use the stock wheelsa and tires for the winter, but she stays inside, havent driven her yet, to much salt on the roads.

I had the Pzero's on my bmw.. great tires, rain and snow.. I never had 1 issue with them in the pouring rain here in norfolk va.. and anyone from this area can tell you that the streets during rain are the worst.. Drainage is close to none.. I never had the T/C come on once during any rain storm..

well, it is good to know that i am not the only one impressed with the tirerack ratings of these tires. i am looking to get a set of these after the beginning of the year. i, like some of you, hope they live up to the ratings.

I know this is comparing Apples to Oranges again, but I have them on my 2000 Grand Prix GTP here in Colorado and I they work awesome in snow/rain & have pretty good dry traction as well. They are an awesome all season tire!!

Alright...I've had mine on for over a week, and along with the new swaybars, the Pirellis are amazing so far. I'll be able to test out its ability in the snow tonite and tomorrow after the big snow thats supposed to come down across the midwest.

My bad...had a busy week. Well, after the 4-5inches that we had last week, the weather only solidified my praise for this sexy set of italian rubber.

The straight-line acceleration had a few slip-ups under moderate(40%) throttle, but still a definate improvement over the stockers. Where the Neros really shined in the snow/ice was under hard cornering manuvers. 90 degree, 30mph turns possible even with a coat of the slushy stuff of the ground, and in cold(25degrees), dry conditions I had a considerably more difficult time breaking them loose from the salt-encrusted pavement.

Overall, I am extremely impressed with every aspect from the Pirelli's so far and look forward to some real fun come summertime.:burnout:
