Went to the D1GP and was shocked to find the GTO missing in action. Rhys wrecked it last week! Rod Millen was there with his RX8 though. To make it worst a Mustang became the first US drifter to win a Grand Prix event.

Yeah I heard it got wrecked, the were talking about it on The Speed Channel, but didn't get to see the film clip, and that was a surprise about the Mustang.

Even though it was a Ford, it is good to see any American car win. If this keeps up we will start seeing V8 Honda's and Toyota's in 5 years..

The Mustang was on fire... I was there front row VIP section. Got to admit the Mustang was doing great all night. I hope Rhys gets another GTO so we can see a fight between GTO and Mustang next year. Also, a 200HP Ae86 Corolla was holding his own vs. 400+ HP cars, I wanted to see him vs the 600hp mustang, but lost at top 4 I believe, cant recall.

Stick a fork in that GTO!!!! She's a goner!!! Hopefully they will come back with an even better car and maybe a new 6.0!!!

Maybe he could auction off pieces like they do other stuff. You could be the proud owner of part of the first GTO DRIFT R . I bet he could do it on Ghey Bay

Thier very first hood was offered there awhile ago.


IMO they are gonna strip it, use whatever parts they can on the new one they can, keep the sheetmetal for spares.

I dont think there is going to be a new one. I thought they are going with a Solstice this year.

I could see a transplant of some sort, say the cobalt SS eccotec as a start and mod it from there, either keep it SC or go turbo.

We know an LSx will fit in a solstice also.
