Does anyone know if the A/T has a manual shift option? The 04 Grand Prix's have an interesing setup with shift levers on the steering wheel.

The "Tapshift" system in the Grand Prix is still PCM actuated. In that mode all you do is have the ability to control the shifting of the transmission. Otherwise the PCM still does it whether it be on it's own command or by you hitting them.

As to the ratchet shifter, as long as you have a PCM controlled transmission I do not think this will work. We have one in our Chevelle but then again, that doesn't have a computer anywhere near it. There really is no need other than looks for that shifter.

I think it would look out of place in a car like this personally. :)
