View Full Version : Auto-x with video, except....
I went to my third auto-x Saturday and this time I had made a camera mount to take videos. The problem is the video is just under 70 meg and comcast only allows me 26 meg.
any suggestion??
The video is win mov format. Any way to compress it? Or does anyone know where I can post it?
thanks

win mov? mov is usually seen on Macs and viewed with Quicktime. Do you mean wmv? That's the typical Micro$oft format. I believe with wmv you can set compression/resolution options. I would try to get it a little smaller if you could. 70MB is a little porky. Even if you find a host, more people will enjoy a smaller file, especially those with ISP imposed bandwidth limits.
Nope. mov extension. It plays in quicktime player for one.
I know it's big. I might have software at work to compress it but not here.

Give this a whirl. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?Fa milyID=5691ba02-e496-465a-bba9-b2f1182cdf24&DisplayLang=en
I have no idea if it will rip right from a .mov Might have to rip to .avi first. If all else fails, RTFM.
Cheers

Good try but it doesn't support mov. It got me looking on the web and there are a lot of converters but none are free :bomb:

I used Pinnacle Studio to save my 90MB DV file as a 5MB wmv, seemed to work pretty well, though it's not free either.
