I am going to get some, probably in the next week. I like the Privat Profil and Roh Drift-R, but what else might be out there?
I prefer to go to 18", 5 or 6 spoke black centers with polished lip. I will also consider other styles of centers, such as multi-spoke/mesh types. I have seen recent photos of a red GTO with the Privats, and it looked good. I had gotten a price of $1380 for 4 with cheap tires, I'd probably upgrade. If I can get some wheels and tires of slightly higher quality and stay under $1800 or so, I'd do it. My only issue with the Privats is the non-functional socket head caps screws. I think I can overlook that though.
I am really not considering anything but black on my Phantom Black Mettalic '04. Colors like "gunmetal" just don't do anything for me. What else is out there?

Amazing. Seventy-six looks, and not ONE reply. Oh well.

I also have black, and am going with "Burning black" aka black chrome. with a polished lip. The choices are some what limited, unless you go custom build.
But these are good looking wheels http://www.motegiracing.com/wheels/details.asp?par ent=66&wheelid=65&name=DP10%20Glossy%20Black&pic=2408&style=2408&desc= I thought about getting these before I decided to go with Work Wheels

THANK YOU! Those are really quite nice. Any idea what they get for 'em? And what about the ones you did get, are they similar?

19x8 in front 19x19.5 in the back, Custom offset, and custom color.
Motegi's are nice...
Motegi's Dp10 run for about $225 each wheel.

Thanks very much guys. That "bigwheels.com" site was very good, lots of choices. Still shopping, but I am liking those Motegi's the best so far. If money was no object, I like iForged ones the BEST, but I just don't have the budget for those!
Much appreciate the help.:burnout:

Where might I get a better look at and pricing on the HRE wheels? Drift R's would be good too, if they come in black. It all comes down to price though. Thanks to 1stGoat for all those photos. I still like his iForged ones the BEST, but wow are they expensive.

i got that pic off ls1tech... if you go under the GTO section and look for w2w's post about their GTO shop car, they have more pics.
i'm going for these wheels because i just prefer a simple 5 spoke. i was considering their competition series wheels with the 6 spokes and black face but the p-shop didn't look right since it was just bang side on.
as far as pricing, i asked HRE a while back and they gave me a referral to some other place that sold the same wheels cheaper than they did (i know... it's retarded). hope this helps.

So they are around $1300 for a set, or is that $1300 per wheel? If per set I may have to get some :)

like i said, when i e-mailed them about them, they sent me a link to a wheel/tire shop that sold them for a lot cheaper than the price on their website.

Iforged's are a bargain when you are comparing them to HRE's
